Hillman and Soul-Making in Troubled Times
with Rebecca and Dennis
Online with the C. G. Jung Institute of Chicago Friday, January 15th from 1-4pm (CT)
and the Southern Arizona Friends of Jung Saturday, January 30, 2027 9:30-12:30 (MST)
In our troubled times we come together to follow Hillman’s operations of soul-making to engage with aspects of soul that seek expression in the world through us. Both Hillman and Jung stressed the need to tend to the world we live in. Jung wrote that the project of individuation must engage the moral challenge of differentiating from unconscious influences toward bringing something of value into the world.
We will take an image-rich discussion of Hillman’s processes of soul-making and the telling of a mythic tale into active imagination, creative process, and discussion to connect with and allow ourselves to feel and be moved by archetypal, transpersonal, and ensouled energies seeking expression in our lives and our world, returning us to hope, vitality, wisdom, and a sense of community. (Have with you paper and markers or crayons.)
