What Is Reiki?
In Japanese rei means the spiritual, or pure, intelligent and complete energy that animates life. Ki is our personal energy, rei after it has taken on mental, emotional, or physical form. Receiving and giving Reiki fosters right relationship between rei, universal energy, and ki, our personal energy. Reiki aligns and replenishes us both energetically and physically with the energy and intelligence that connects all life. Reiki helps us come into right relationship with our bodies, minds, emotions, and environment. |
Reiki Treatments
Reiki is given through gentle, noninvasive touch while you rest comfortably on a massage table. No disrobing is necessary. In a treatment, which usually lasts an hour, the practitioner places his or her hands on a series of points on your body that relate to the body's biological systems, and that clear and renew your physical, mental and emotional energies. Most people experience the energy that comes through the practitioner’s hands as a deeply relaxing and comforting warmth or a pleasant tingling sensation. Many people feel so safe and relaxed that they fall asleep. |
Benefits of a Reiki Treatment
Reiki can help alleviate pain, relax muscles, accelerate healing of injuries and illnesses, relieve chronic conditions — ranging from arthritis and fibromyalgia to back, neck and spine pain — and support recovery from chemotherapy treatment (including reduction of side effects).
Reiki helps release the blocks, conflicts, and traumas that divide heart from mind, increasing clarity and peace.
Reiki takes us deep within to the source of all life, bringing us into balance, leaving us renewed by the unseen power that animates all things.
Sessions are a hour and are offered on a free will donation basis.
